Information sought, reward offered in recent Taylor County burglary-arson
 
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Investigators with the Office of the West Virginia State Fire Marshal are requesting information in an ongoing arson/burglary investigation in Taylor County.
On March 1, 2017 at around 2:36 am, a fire destroyed a home located along Thornton Pike just outside of Thornton in Taylor County. 
 
Investigators have determined that the residence and outbuildings had been broken into prior to the fire, and a large amount of personal property was stolen.
 
Anyone who may have observed a vehicle or individuals at the property is urged to contact the West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Arson Hotline: (800) 233-FIRE (3473). A reward of up to $5000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
