Media Release - W.Va. State Fire Marshals arrest Mason woman on arson charges

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office announced today that a Mason County woman has been arrested on arson charges stemming from a residential fire.

 

WVSFMO investigators arrested Emogene Cochran, 66 , of Point Pleasant on Friday, May 18 and charged her with first-degree arson. Cochran is alleged to have set fire to her Point Pleasant home on May 15.

 

Cochran was arraigned in Mason County Magistrate Court and has been released on a $20,000 bond.
