The Plan Review Division conducts an in-depth review of all architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans for code compliance as well as specialized systems such as fire alarm, automatic sprinkler systems, hood suppression systems and smoke management systems. The Plan Review Division has become totally digital, streamlining the process of submitting, reviewing and issuing permits for projects submitted to the State Fire Marshal's Office.

Notices for all Design Professionals and Contractors:
***Effective March 1st, 2025: All plan submissions will be required to be submitted via our Plan Review Request Portal.
***Submitting Revisions or Resubmittals: Any resubmissions for projects with document numbers beginning with "PR" cannot be uploaded to the portal. You must contact our office for instructions to submit revisions or resubmittals (304)-558-2191 Ext. 08590.
***Invoice and Payment Procedures: As of June 2, 2025 invoices are emailed. The email address provided for payment on the application will receive instructions and a link to where the payment is to be made. Please note that our agency no longer accepts money orders, cash, or physical checks for online submissions.
